Founded on August 7, 1947, Serraltense initially produced wooden artifacts. In 1969, it began producing colonial-style furniture under its new corporate name: MÓVEIS SERRALTENSE LTDA.

Since 1987, Serraltense has started to develop products aimed at the demanding foreign market.
